Play was halted for around ten minutes after referee Francois Letexier made a crossed-arms gesture to signal racist abuse. Trent Alexander-Arnold condemned the incident as a disgrace, called it disgusting, noted Vinicius had been subjected to similar incidents before, and said investigation and punishment are underway.
