Omar Abou Mrad is a 47-year-old Lebanese computer scientist, husband and father of three teenage boys, working as a Technical Lead. Omar enjoys technology, sports, and food, and actively learns and helps others. He is widely known online as Xterm, a handle inspired by the xterm terminal emulator first used on Red Hat 2.0 and later registered on Freenode. Omar began using Django around version 1.1 and worked on a complex operations, traceability, and reporting system for a pipe-manufacturing company while the team used Django ~1.6.
