Winter Olympics bosses replenish condoms after supply of 10,000 ran out
"But fear not, as more are on the way. The Milano Cortina 2026 organising committee told People: "We can confirm that condom supplies in the Olympic Villages were temporarily depleted due to higher-than-anticipated demand. "Additional supplies are being delivered and will be distributed across all Villages between today and Monday. "They will be continuously replenished until the end of the Games to ensure continues availability.""

But there was clearly a lot more than just skiing, curling and bobsleighing going on."
Milano Cortina 2026 began on 6 February with 2,871 athletes staying in the Olympic Village. Fewer than 10,000 free condoms were supplied and were reportedly used up within three days. By comparison, Paris 2024 provided around 300,000 condoms. Organisers confirmed supplies were temporarily depleted due to higher-than-anticipated demand and said additional condoms are being delivered, distributed across all villages, and will be continuously replenished until the end of the Games. A spokesperson noted free condom access is a traditional preventive measure and that more than 9,700 male and female condoms have been made available, with further supplies if necessary. Some condoms have appeared for resale online at about £87.
