Archbishop Riordan High School canceled in-person classes Friday and will halt on-campus instruction next week after a third confirmed active tuberculosis case. Teachers will post assignments online and the school will offer a hybrid option February 9–20 permitting only students who test negative to attend. School leadership is working with the city public health department on contact tracing and aims to test everyone by February 13. In addition to the three active cases, 50 latent infections have been identified. The first TB case was in November and many sporting events were canceled; several students report feeling reasonably safe.
