Professor Anne Scott has launched a nationwide public consultation aimed at gathering insights from individuals, families, and communities about their experiences during the pandemic. This initiative seeks to create a non-adversarial, thorough evaluation of Ireland's response to Covid-19 across various sectors. The intention is to learn lessons for future emergencies, as no comprehensive overview of the pandemic's full impact on society has been produced. The findings will contribute to a final report aimed at preparing Ireland better for forthcoming challenges.
Our goal is to produce a thorough, independent assessment of Ireland's pandemic response. One that reflects real life as well as official records.
Today we are inviting members of the public to share their experiences of the pandemic. This is the first step in building a clear and honest picture of how Covid-19 was lived and felt by individuals, families and communities throughout Ireland.
