Morrisons introduce male sanitary bins - anti-woke brigade lose it
Morrisons introduced male sanitary bins in customer bathrooms to help men dispose of used incontinence pads discreetly and hygienically. The change follows “The Bog Standard” guidelines from phs Group and Prostate Cancer UK, which focus on supporting men with incontinence, including those who have had prostate cancer treatment. Morrisons also added stoma-friendly toilets earlier in the year. Prostate Cancer UK support services said missing bins cause stress and shame and can prevent men from going out, working, or doing activities they enjoy. phs Group said the bins were developed with input from men who experienced prostate cancer and in consultation with Prostate Cancer UK supporters. The policy drew backlash from some online commenters despite not mentioning trans people.
"Many men need sanitary bins so they can dispose of their used pads discreetly and hygienically - but often these bins are nowhere to be found in men's loose. It's causing men stress and shame and keeping them from going out, heading to work or even doing the things they love."
"We developed our male incontinence bins at the request of men who have experienced prostate cancer, and we are proud to be the only organisation to develop sanitary bins for men, in consultation with Prostate Cancer UK supporters."
"The move was done to meet "The Bog Standard" guidelines from phs Group and Prostate Cancer UK, which aims to educate organisations on providing support for men with incontinence, including those who have had prostate cancer treatment. The supermarket chain also recently introduced stoma-friendly toilets in March of this year."
"Then that's the last time I'll shop at Morrisons utter woke nonsense," one disgruntled user, who appeared to be a man based on his username, said on X."
