Have your say on pharmacy service as research shows 'ever increasing' demand

Haringey Council is launching a public consultation to evaluate pharmacy services and locations within the community. A short online survey is available until July 21 for residents to provide feedback. The current draft indicates Haringey has 20.6 community pharmacies per 100,000 population, exceeding the national average. While the borough appears stable in terms of pharmacy access, demand is rising. A survey of local pharmaceutical providers indicated that 26% wish to increase service offerings, such as vaccinations and HIV testing, reflecting the evolving needs of the community.
According to the draft, the borough has an average of 20.6 community pharmacies per 100,000 population compared with 18.3 per 100,000 in England.
A consultation with pharmaceutical service providers in the borough, in which 28 out of 54 responded, found 26% of respondents would like to provide more services.
Residents are being urged to fill in a short online survey, which is open until Monday, July 21, to help the council create its local pharmaceutical needs assessment (PNA).
