"On Tuesday at 1:45 p.m. an extreme cold warning was released by the National Weather Service valid for Wednesday, Feb. 18 between midnight and 9 a.m. for Eastern Santa Clara Hills. Very cold conditions with temperatures as low as 24 degrees expected, according to the NWS San Francisco CA. Hikers, outdoor enthusiasts will encounter dangerously cold conditions over the higher peaks."
"Prolonged exposure to the cold conditions will lead to hypothermia for people, pets, and livestock, the NWS said.
