Sheryl Lee Ralph and The DIVA Foundation celebrated the 35th anniversary of DIVAS Simply Singing, an evening combining music, purpose and empowerment. The event served as a reunion for longtime friends and Dreamgirls collaborators and honored friends lost during the 1980s HIV/AIDS epidemic, which inspired the foundation and the annual fundraiser. Stars including Loretta Devine, Jenifer Lewis and James Pickens Jr. attended to support prevention and health programs. The signature event raises awareness and funds for programs addressing HIV/AIDS and other health disparities affecting marginalized communities. Sheryl Lee Ralph continues advocacy through art and public platform.
