People who don't like animals are more likely to be PSYCHOPATHS
"Scientists in Serbia have found a link between psychopathy and the belief that animals aren't as worthy as humans. People who show signs of psychopathy - such as being impulsive, lying compulsively albeit and having a 'superficial charm' - may be more likely to humiliate or even hurt animals as a result. Their experiments also suggest animal haters are 'sadists', meaning they derive pleasure from inflicting pain, suffering or humiliation."
"Each of the four Dark Tetrad traits - narcissism, Machiavellianism, psychopathy and sadism - are made up of particular undesirable attributes. Machiavellianism is characterised by manipulation and exploitation of others, a cynical disregard for morality, and a focus on self-interest and deception. Narcissism is characterised by grandiosity, pride, egotism, and a lack of empathy, while psychopathy is characterised by enduring antisocial behaviour, impulsivity, selfishness, callousness, and remorselessness."
Scientists in Serbia found a link between psychopathy and the belief that animals are less worthy than humans. Individuals showing psychopathic traits such as impulsivity, compulsive lying and superficial charm were more likely to humiliate or harm animals. Experimental results indicated that those who dislike animals often display sadistic tendencies, deriving pleasure from inflicting pain or humiliation. The research connects violence toward animals with broader antisocial outcomes, including domestic violence and murder. In initial testing, 369 participants completed questionnaires measuring Dark Tetrad traits and attitudes toward animals, including prosocial intentions and dietary attitudes.
