""Microsoft did not provide a reason for the delay," UC Today says. "The update applies to Teams for Windows desktop and Teams for Mac desktop." Microsoft Teams will add a feature that automatically sets a user's work location when the device connects to an organization's Wi‑Fi, and shows a non-work location when not connected. The feature applies to Teams for Windows and Mac desktop clients and the rollout has been delayed to March. Microsoft states the feature will be opt-in and off by default, with tenant administrators controlling whether to enable it and require end-user opt-in. Microsoft also says Teams will not update location after working hours and will clear the location at the end of working hours. The change raises privacy and tracking concerns among users and UC specialists.
