On June 14, Portland witnessed the 'No Kings' protest, with around 50,000 attendees voicing concerns about the Trump administration's policies, including authoritarianism and ICE actions. The march started at the Battleship Oregon Memorial and featured speeches condemning federal raids on immigrants. Coinciding with a military parade in Washington, D.C., this event was part of a broader movement with over 2,000 rallies nationwide, collectively engaging more than five million protesters. Portland's rally underscored local resistance and solidarity against perceived injustices within the community.
