American Legion Post 124 Commander Juliet Britton highlighted the need for honesty about unfulfilled ideals of equality. Beaverton Mayor Lacey Beaty expressed pride in being an Army veteran and belief in America's potential for improvement. The ceremony included heartfelt tributes and a sing-along, celebrating the sacrifices of those who served.
