Briefly

The World Series of Poker Circuit Tournament of Champions returns to The Commerce Casino & Hotel in California, now featuring a $1 million freeroll prize pool. Exclusively for bracelet and ring winners from the 2024-2025 season, it marks its 15th time as a freeroll event. Last year's winner, Dong Meng, claimed the title amidst a competitive field. Initially named the National Championship, the event has evolved significantly since its inception, offering more accessibility for players. The live stream details for the final table are forthcoming, promising an exciting start to the poker year.
We are happy to return to The Commerce Casino & Hotel for the Tournament of Champions and our 15th consecutive $1,000,000 freeroll, said Ty Stewart in a statement.
The Tournament of Champions was originally dubbed the National Championship at its inception in 2011. As the tour added more international stops, the event was eventually rebranded to the Global Casino Championship.
Additionally, players who were in the top 100 of the race had the option to buy into the event for $10,000. But in 2022, the requirements were loosened, and it was opened up to a wider audience.
