A Texas lottery winner, who claimed an $83.5 million jackpot, asserts she is being wrongfully denied her prize after purchasing the ticket online through a courier. The unidentified woman filed a complaint after waiting three months for the payout from the Texas Lottery Commission (TLC). Although her ticket was validated, the commission has yet to issue the winnings, sparking concerns over the legitimacy of third-party lottery ticket purchasing services. This issue has led to proposed bans on couriers amid ongoing investigations.
The woman went to cash in her prize from the Texas Lottery Commission (TLC) on March 18 - but has yet to receive her massive payout.
I'm being treated as the bad guy, the woman told Nexstar Media Group after presenting her winning ticket.
