2026 World Series Of Poker Kicks Off Today - Poker News
The 2026 World Series of Poker begins May 26 with 100 live gold bracelet events at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas. Play continues daily through July 15, alongside 30 WSOP online bracelet events running in parallel to the live schedule. The WSOP Main Event starts July 2 and runs through July 13, when the final nine are determined and players receive an extended break. The final table plays out live on ESPN platforms from August 3–5 for the first time in six years. Until ESPN coverage begins later in the summer, final tables and live streams air on WSOP digital platforms, primarily YouTube, starting May 29. New regulations include a crackdown on unaffiliated promotions and stricter patch and logo rules, and the $500 Industry Employees event shifts to day two.
"Tuesday afternoon marks the beginning of the 2026 World Series of Poker. The 57th annual edition of the most famous poker festival in the world once again features 100 live gold bracelet events inside the Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas. Beginning today, May 26, the action carries on every day through July 15. In addition to all of the live events on offer, 30 WSOP online bracelet events are set to take place in parallel to the Las Vegas live action."
"The 2026 WSOP main event begins on Thursday, July 2, and runs through Monday, July 13. On July 13, once the final nine players are set, chip bags come out, and players are sent on their way for an extended break. From Aug. 3-5, the final table will play out live on ESPN platforms for the first time in six years, rekindling one of the oldest relationships in poker broadcasting."
"Until ESPN enters the picture later in the summer, final tables and live streams will air in-house on WSOP's digital platforms, primarily on YouTube, starting on May 29. The powers that be behind the WSOP brought some heavy hitters on board to round out the broadcast team, including long-time PokerStars and European Poker Tour broadcaster Joe Stapleton."
"Between a crackdown on unaffiliated promotions and stricter rules about patches and logos, things seem likely to look a lot different inside the Horseshoe and Paris in 2026. Even the first-day schedule looks a lot different. Breaking from tradition, the $500 Industry Employees no-limit hold'em event moved to the second day of the 2026 WSOP."
