Studio by Spotify Labs is a standalone AI app for PCs that creates a daily briefing, podcast-style audio, and playlists using chatbot prompts. Generated content uses Spotify listening history and information from connected apps such as email inbox, calendar, and notes. Spotify also says the AI can take actions on a user’s behalf, including researching topics, using a web browser, organizing information, and helping complete tasks. Users can save generated content, including daily briefing podcasts, to their Spotify library. Studio launches in the coming weeks as a research preview for users 18 and older, alongside other AI podcast features for Premium users and Personal Podcasts inside Spotify.
