No drama: Scheffler adds The Open, 3rd Slam leg
Briefly

Scottie Scheffler won the Open Championship at Royal Portrush by four strokes, completing his third leg of the career Grand Slam. He shot 68 or better in all four rounds, becoming only the fourth player in Open history to achieve this feat. Scheffler previously won the PGA Championship and the Masters in consecutive years, making him the only player to win each of his first four major titles by three or more shots. Rory McIlroy, despite playing before a home crowd, finished tied for seventh, needing an extraordinary closing round to contend.
Scheffler became just the fourth player in Open Championship history to shoot 68 or better in all four rounds, joining Collin Morikawa, Henrik Stenson, and Jesper Parnevik.
He became just the third golfer to win multiple majors by four or more strokes in a single year, joining Ben Hogan and Tiger Woods.
