We've Updated Our Editorial Policies in an Important Way
Briefly

The Phoblographer positions journalists as distinct from generic content creators and highlights the dehumanizing effect of lumping professions together. The site educates readers on journalistic differences and reports that trust issues with journalists rarely occur for its staff. For over 15 years the Phoblographer has published gear articles, industry takes, news, and profiles of diverse photographers while emphasizing how photographers can differentiate themselves from AI. Editorial operations have become more transparent and editorial policies were updated. Editorial practices prioritize human-led decisions over social-media algorithms, collect reader interest via traffic reports, and use AI to assist rather than replace humans. Paid press trips are not accepted.
For over 15 years, the Phoblographer has been one of the single best places for gear articles, unique takes on the photo industry, news, the profiling of the most diverse set of photographers, and these days, a big focus is how photographers can differentiate themselves from AI. Purism isn't going to cut it in the future. To that end, we've become even more transparent about how we operate. And we've updated our editorial policies. Those policies can be found here.
Our policies are editorial practices by individual content creators such as YouTubers and Social Media personalities. We create articles based on how we feel, and not based on what a social-media based algorithm is trying to tell you to do. Sometimes we create articles based on what people want to read. And we gather that data from traffic reports. However, this is all done by humans.
