At 17, Simon Burstall documented the growing underground rave scene in 1990s Sydney. He used borrowed school cameras and left home early in the morning, using the family car to reach rave locations. Through this work, he found community and a career that changed his life. His book, 93: Punching the Light, was published by Damiani in 2019. Brendan Cowell appears in a photograph at Field of Dreams II Rave, Graffiti Hall of Fame, smiling with arms raised. Cowell wrote the forward for the book.
