Google Photos adds 'Quick Edits' when you share images
Briefly

Google has launched a new 'Quick Edits' feature in Google Photos, allowing users to crop and auto-enhance images right before sharing them. These quick modifications don't save to the library but will be included in the image shared within Google Photos. Users can compare edits to the original photo before finalizing the share. The feature is automatically available for unedited images, but can be turned off if not preferred. Currently, it's limited to Android 14 and above and doesn't work for images already edited or categorized as documents.
The 'Quick Edits' feature in Google Photos allows users to make simple adjustments to images before sharing without saving those changes permanently.
Edits like cropping or auto-enhancing can be previewed against the original image, enhancing the sharing experience directly within the app.
'Quick Edits' is designed for users sharing unedited images; those who prefer enhanced control can disable this feature through the settings.
Currently, this feature is exclusive to Google Photos for Android versions 14 and above, excluding edited photos in certain document categories.
