Frequent filming and flash photography can ruin live concerts in small clubs. People moving back and forth in front of the stage distract performers and other attendees. Holding cameras close to the singer’s face and triggering flashbulbs every few seconds interrupts the show for the entire duration. Even multiple people doing this at once intensifies the disruption. Getting photos and videos early helps capture the moment without prolonged interference. Moving away from the stage allows the rest of the crowd to experience the performance directly rather than focusing on documentation.
"But nothing ruins a live concert in a small club like having someone (or even 3-4 at the same time) stalking back and forth in front of the stage like a punk rock Austin Powers, holding up cameras in the singer's face and setting off flashbulbs every 30 seconds. Often, this happens throughout the entire show!"
"Get your photos and videos early and then get away from the stage. There is an entire crowd of people behind you who want to live the experience rather than just document it."
