Annie Atkins, Liang-Jung Chen and Derek Ridgers: Tickets now available for February's Nicer Tuesdays!
"At next month's event, you can expect talks from Liang-Jung Chen, a London-based artist interested in material culture as they work across several mediums. After going viral with their UK indefinite leave to remain project, which was a thrilling piece of screen-recorded performance art within Microsoft Excel, Liang-Jung will be joining the stage to elaborate on how that project came about whilst introducing their versatile practice."
"We'll also be joined by iconic photographer Derek Ridgers, known for his books In the Eighties: Portraits from Another Time and Skinheads 1979 - 1984, who will be talking about his photographic process, influential photographs of club and youth culture and his new book Hello, I Love You, a celebration of London and love (featuring a lot of kissing - just in time for Valentines Day!)."
"Following our talks for the evening, Annie Atkins, the Academy Award winning graphic designer will be joining us for a Q&A, covering topics such as the importance of telling your own stories and scoops on working in the film industry! Annie's work spans books such as Fake Love Letters, Forged Telegrams, and Prison Escape Maps, as well as work with Wes Anderson on The Grand Budapest Hotel, Isle of Dogs and The French Dispatch."
