A rodeo bull in Colorado, nicknamed either Sauce Boss or Twinkle Toes, escaped during unloading for a rodeo on July 2. After slipping through a gap in the fencing, he spent four days evading capture primarily by hiding in tall brush and trees. Authorities issued a public alert, while local cowboys attempted to corral him, but he escaped again, especially during heavy rain. Eventually, the bull appeared visibly and allowed cowboys to approach, leading to his capture in preparation for the upcoming rodeo.
Authorities spent several hours looking for the taurine fugitive, but he eluded them, primarily by heading into tall brush and trees in the village's Horse Ranch neighborhood.
The bull came in and out of view while remaining in that brush in the coming days. He slipped out of the cowboys' roping during heavy rain.
There were conflicting reports about the bull's moniker. CBS Colorado reported he went by Sauce Boss, while Snowmass Village police indicated the name could be Twinkle Toes.
At one point, cowboys roped the bull but he managed to escape; however, he eventually allowed them to approach before being caught.
