"More than 150 rescue dogs dressed in Christmas jumpers have gathered in central London for a walk to Buckingham Palace. The event, in support of animal charities, was organised by Rescue Dogs of London, which organises meet-ups for owners and their adopted dogs. One of the organisers, May Wong, said her two rescue dogs, George and Lulu were rescued from Hungary and China respectively."
"She said many of the dogs had a "terrible start in life", but had been "given second chances" by their new owners. She added: "We feel so blessed to have them in our lives." For those who missed the spectacle, there will be more chances to see dogs getting into the Christmas spirit. A Christmas jumper parade for corgis will be held in London on 6 December, and a Christmas Hyde Park sausage dog walk on 14 December will see dachshunds join the festivities."
