Pet Sitter in SF's Lake Merced Under Investigation for Deaths of Two Dogs, Neglect of Others
"A neighbor first posted about the sitter in a local Facebook group, where they shared two videos of several dogs sitting in the sitter's Prius at night, which was parked in an outdoor lot during a storm with the windows cracked. In one of the videos, vomit can be seen on the back seat. The Facebook post also mentions that the sitter has a female companion who also interacted with the dogs."
"One client wrote about having to fly back home to get their dog whose medications were missing and their ten-pound bag of food nearly empty. He texted us on Christmas Eve saying he hurt his leg' and that we had to come get our dog, the comment says. We were 2,000 miles away with family,"
San Francisco residents posted warnings on social media the week before Christmas about a pet sitter allegedly unsafely boarding and neglecting multiple dogs in a Lake Merced condo. The sitter used the Rover app until the app permanently deactivated his account. A neighbor posted videos showing several dogs inside the sitter’s Prius at night during a storm with cracked windows and vomit on the back seat. At least seven dogs were reported boarded overnight, and neighbors complained of backyard odors, prompting an HOA fine to the landlord. Former clients on Reddit reported missing medications, nearly empty food bags, and emergency returns to retrieve pets. Two dogs died over the Christmas holiday.
