MSPCA removes 62 animals from horrible conditions in Dudley
"MSCPA-Angell reportedly removed 62 animals from unsanitary conditions in a Dudley home on Friday."
"After the owner failed to provide both care and a sanitary environment, the MSPCA executed a search warrant and seized the animals, the organization told Boston.com in a statement."
""are now undergoing medical evaluations and settling into our care," said MSPCA-Angell Law Enforcement Director Chris Schindler in a statement."
""Obviously, this kind of large operation puts an immense strain on our own capacity, but these animals needed help and we knew we had to pull out all the stops to get it for them," he added."
A report alleging horses in poor physical condition and unsanitary living conditions prompted an MSPCA investigation. Investigators found some animals without adequate access to food and water and determined the owner failed to provide necessary care and a sanitary environment. Authorities executed a search warrant and seized 62 animals from the Dudley property. The seized animals included chickens, ducks, geese, cats, dogs, parrots, ferrets, horses, rabbits, turtles, pigs, and goats. The animals are undergoing medical evaluations and are being settled into MSPCA-Angell care, which has strained the organization’s capacity.
