"A huge thank you to Vallejo Fire for their quick response, expertise, and dedication; this rescue wouldn't have been possible without them."
Fiona, a lost dog, fell into a well under an abandoned home in Vallejo and was rescued after two hours of treading water. The Solano County Sheriff's Animal Control Services received calls about the dog's cries and the missing pet. Officer Bradley responded but could not access the house. Deputies assisted in breaking in, finding Fiona trapped in a cistern. Vallejo Fire Department helped with the rescue, which was complicated by confined space conditions. Fiona was exhausted but reunited with her owners and is recovering at home.
