Fillmore, a 3-year-old German shorthaired pointer, alerted the Dalis family to a garage fire in Tustin by barking urgently. The family woke up in time to fight the flames before firefighters arrived. Eleni Dalis initially thought Fillmore was reacting to a coyote but soon discovered the fire after seeing a red glow. They managed to spray the fire with garden hoses, preventing further damage. Fillmore, who usually sleeps through the night, was later found shaking in a bedroom after the incident.
