Group effort helps rescue kitten on busy Hwy 85 in San Jose

A collaborative team effort occurred to save a kitten on Highway 85 in the South Bay. While one kitten ran onto the highway did not survive, another kitten managed to hide inside a tire when a driver stopped to assist. Multiple individuals, including drivers and CHP officers, joined forces to rescue the kitten. Although it suffered singed whiskers, the kitten is otherwise healthy and is being prepared for adoption by the Nine Lives Foundation.
Multiple drivers, CHP officers, and a tow truck driver all worked together to get the kitten out, showcasing community effort in an emergency situation.
One kitten did not survive after running on Highway 85, but another found refuge inside a tire, demonstrating the dangers animals face on roads.
The rescued kitten experienced singed whiskers but was otherwise found to be okay and is now being set up for adoption through the Nine Lives Foundation.
