An Irvine couple, Kwong "Tony" Chun Sit and Tingfeng Liu, have been charged with animal cruelty and related felonies following the deaths of at least 11 dogs. The investigation started when an owner suspected foul play after their healthy dog died unexpectedly. Authorities discovered that some dogs died from heatstroke and blunt-force trauma, and they recovered all dog bodies, including some cremated ones. The case reflects serious questions about animal welfare in dog training services.
Our dogs love us unconditionally, and to have someone who advertised himself as a dog lover who would treat his clients' dogs as his own be not only responsible for the deaths of these pets but then to enlist his girlfriend to cover up the animal abuse is beyond repulsive.
The one family reached out to us [and] thought it was kind of suspicious that their healthy dog died with this trainer.
