Rafael Sanctuary removed six valuable sports horses and accompanying equipment from River Lodge Equestrian Centre last month after learning the business was to be sold. Sanctuary agreed that five of the horses would be placed in independent care. The arrangements place the horses under neutral supervision while ownership and possession issues are resolved following discovery of an impending sale of the equestrian centre.
