Police to deploy en masse in Paris for Champions League final
Briefly

For the upcoming Champions League football final featuring Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) against Inter Milan in Munich, Paris police have announced a significant security presence. A total of 5,400 officers will be mobilized to maintain peace and ensure safety, particularly around popular areas in Paris, including the Champs-Elysées and the Parc des Princes. This final is particularly significant for PSG as it marks only their second final appearance since the team was taken over by Qatari owners in 2011, despite substantial financial investment in the club.
"A massive deployment in the capital and its surroundings, with 5,400 personnel mobilised... that's enormous," Paris police chief Laurent Nunez said in an interview with Le Parisien.
Many of the officers will be deployed on the French capital's Champs-Elysées and around PSG's home stadium Parc des Princes, on the southwestern edge of the city, he said.
