This spring, New York's Upper East Side hosts two Picasso exhibitions, showcasing never-before-displayed art from the artist's personal collection, in collaboration with his daughter, Paloma Picasso. The Gagosian exhibit, titled "Picasso: Tête-à-tête," features a thematic curation that mirrors the way Picasso preferred to display his work. This show comes as Gagosian prepares to vacate its long-held venue. Paloma Picasso reflects on the importance of displaying her father's work as he envisioned, presenting a unique opportunity to view art that has remained private for decades.
"Showing my father's work as he wanted it to be seen-in conversation across subjects and periods-is a fitting tribute to his legacy," Paloma Picasso.
"A number of the works we selected haven't been seen since my father had them in his studio," Paloma Picasso emphasizes.
