Sibling aggression and abuse (SAA) is alarmingly prevalent but often overlooked in K-12 settings. Unlike typical sibling rivalry, SAA involves significant power imbalances and can lead to serious emotional and physical harm. K-12 personnel, although trained to handle various forms of child abuse, often lack education on this issue. A 5-step advocacy model provides a framework for educators to recognize SAA and offer support.
