Andy Ryan, 45, shared his emotional journey to parenthood after ten rounds of IVF with his partner Nickie. They began their IVF journey in 2011 after Nickie was diagnosed with high FSH levels, incorrectly dismissing underlying endometriosis as a complicating factor. Despite the initial failures stretching over five attempts, the couple found ways to stay positive, including turning medical trips to Madrid into mini-adventures. Finally welcoming their daughter Maisie became a testament to their perseverance and hope in navigating the challenges of infertility.
To finally become a father after all the years of IVF was an incredible feeling. We feel extremely fortunate to have our amazing daughter Maisie.
The doctors told us she probably wouldn't carry due to high FSH levels. However, they overlooked her endometriosis, which was affecting those levels.
