Creativity was stifled by societal and parental expectations of pursuing a stable career, leading to a focus on law over personal passions. Despite achieving success as an attorney, a lack of passion for the profession persisted. Eventually, life changes, particularly the birth of a child with disabilities, prompted a reevaluation of priorities. The desire now is to encourage the next generation to chase their dreams and redefine success on their own terms, promoting fulfillment over conformity to conventional career choices.
Ultimately, I followed the path laid out for me by others, settling on law after being pressured to pursue a stable profession rather than following my creative dreams.
Although I built a successful career in law and enjoyed a comfortable lifestyle, I never developed a passion for practicing it, often wondering what could have been.
My priorities shifted significantly after having children, especially after my oldest was born with disabilities, leading me to realize the importance of chasing one's dreams.
I want my teenagers to embrace a broader view of success, encouraging them to pursue what brings them joy, rather than settling for societal expectations.
