"Content exhibiting unusual volumes or patterns of review contributions that are indicative of efforts to manipulate a place's rating."
"We do not allow merchants to: Offer incentives - such as payment, discounts, free goods and/or services - in exchange for posting any review or revision or removal of a negative review.Discourage or prohibit negative reviews, or selectively solicit positive reviews from customersWhen soliciting reviews, merchants should not require or pressure users to leave ratings or write reviews while on the premises, nor should they request that specific content be included."
Google updated the Google Business Profile review policies under the Prohibited & restricted content section. The update prohibits content exhibiting unusual volumes or patterns of review contributions indicative of attempts to manipulate a place's rating. The update forbids merchants from offering incentives — payment, discounts, free goods or services — in exchange for posting, revising, or removing reviews. The update forbids merchants from discouraging or prohibiting negative reviews and from selectively soliciting positive reviews. When soliciting reviews, merchants must not require or pressure users to leave ratings or write reviews while on the premises, nor request specific content. Regular review of policy documents is recommended to remain compliant.
