Authorities allege that after a single Zoom meeting, Kay became fixated on the professor, dropped the course, and harassed her for five months via email and LinkedIn. He allegedly sent over 80 communications expressing love and admiration for her, even mentioning her child. Kay's actions included emailing university officials and he faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
