Waterford Kilkenny Garda Youth Awards 2026 honours young stars
Young people aged 13 to 21 from Waterford and Kilkenny were recognised at the annual Garda Youth Awards for facing adversity and promoting awareness of the dangers of smoking and drug abuse. An awards evening took place at the Tower Hotel in Waterford city, with entries from individuals and groups. Waterford and Kilkenny Garda Districts presented a combined Waterford Kilkenny Garda Division Youth Awards for the first time. Winners were acknowledged across four categories, each receiving a Waterford Crystal engraved vase. Special guests included a track and field Olympian and the 2025 Rose of Tralee. The winners included Dwayne Keniry-Coady, Kia Fahy, CBS Dungarvan, and The Air that I Breathe.
