Cork town to bring cultures together during highly-anticipated street feast
The Community Street Feast takes place in Macroom at the Fairy Garden from 2pm until 4:30pm on Saturday, May 30. The event is organised by the Macroom Family Resource Centre, SECAD, and Macroom Tidy Towns. Residents are encouraged to bring one dish of their choice and share meals with neighbours to strengthen relationships in town. The gathering supports meeting others in the neighbourhood and trying new foods. People can bring full meals or lighter options such as snacks, homemade items, or salads. The event is the first of its kind in Macroom, with similar community feasts having occurred in other towns and villages across County Cork in previous years. For information, email nadia@macroomfrc.com or fnaheed@secad.ie.
