Hundreds of top-secret UFO-related intelligence files were made public after a decades-long legal battle. The Disclosure Foundation obtained 334 pages of NSA intelligence reports containing radar-tracking information from Cold War-era military and intelligence communications. Some incidents describe 13 fighter jets dispatched to chase a single UFO spotted on military radar. Other reports describe Soviet-made MIGs pursuing swarms of unknown objects, including sightings over China and cases where six MIGs were sent and were seen “attacking said UFO.” One report describes an “elongated ball of fire” that split into three separate “balls of fire.” Many reports suggested balloons, yet every report was marked “Top Secret Umbra.” The NSA had fought for over 40 years to prevent public release, and the documents were unsealed following a presidential order to release UFO and extraterrestrial information.
