Terrifying Footage Shows Tourists Fleeing Epic Volcanic Eruption
Briefly

A recent eruption from Mount Etna in Sicily caused tourists to flee amidst a dramatic ash cloud. Filmed footage displayed the panic as visitors raced down a hill to escape. Despite the terrifying scenes, all tourists were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported. The eruption, which was among the largest observed since 2014, was sparked by gas bubbles bursting in the volcanic magma. While incredibly powerful, these events are not uncommon for Etna, one of the most active volcanoes globally.
