Shark hunter deploys a drone at a Florida beach to save drowning girl's life
Briefly

Andrew Smith, after being convinced by friends to fish at Pensacola Beach, responded to a crisis when a teenage girl was pulled into deep water by a riptide. Despite being unable to swim himself, Smith innovatively utilized his drone to deliver a flotation device to the struggling girl. After a missed attempt due to high winds, he succeeded in piloting the drone correctly, allowing the girl to cling to safety until help arrived, highlighting his quick thinking and resourcefulness in a dire situation.
"I said 'no I absolutely could not swim', and she was running and screaming and nobody could swim," he said.
"The drone can swim but I can't," said Smith. That's when he had an idea to use his drone to deliver a flotation device.
"After the first one I could tell how windy it was. So then I lowered it down, you had to go slower and slower down to her because that was it," he said.
"I was shaking pretty bad, it was nerve wracking, I just about cried," he told 7 News Miami.
