A data preprocessing error caused certain duration and amplitude values to be associated with the wrong dopamine trace in Fig. 2p and 2q. The incorrect associations affected the data underlying the displayed dopamine traces and required correction of the affected panels. Figure 2 and the associated source data were updated in the HTML and PDF versions to correct the error. The original Fig. 2p and 2q panels are provided for comparison as Supplementary Information accompanying the amendment. Supplementary information and the original panels are available in the online version of the amendment.
