"To honor and show appreciation for those who have served our country, Laketran and Geauga Transit, located in northeastern Ohio, will provide free public transportation for all U.S. military veterans from Sunday, November 9 through Saturday, November 15. Laketran customers riding Local Routes and Park-n-Ride simply need to inform their driver that they are a veteran when they board the bus to receive a free ride."
"This year also marks 30 years that Laketran has partnered with the Lake County Veterans Service Commission and Lake County Commissioners to operate a dedicated Veterans Medical Transportation program. This service provides free, door-to-door Dial-a-Ride transportation for Lake County veterans and their spouses to the county's VA Outpatient Clinic, Veterans Service Commission office, and the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in University Circle."
Laketran and Geauga Transit will provide free public transportation for all U.S. military veterans from Sunday, November 9 through Saturday, November 15. Veterans riding Local Routes and Park-n-Ride need only inform the driver at boarding to receive a free ride. Veterans scheduling Laketran Dial-a-Ride, Rides on Demand, or Geauga Transit trips must indicate veteran status when making reservations. Laketran offers this free week in addition to a year-round reduced fare discount for Lake County veterans. Laketran also operates a 30-year Veterans Medical Transportation program providing free door-to-door Dial-a-Ride to VA facilities and subsidized fares for medical or adult day care appointments.
