Will Warren needed to rebound after a bad, bad start in Toronto last week, and 5.2 innings without allowing a run is what I would call a rebound. His command wasn't perfect, with another one of those 20+ pitch first innings, and just four strikeouts against a pair of walks.
Despite those issues, no Mariner crossed the plate. Warren was able to find The Pitch when he needed it, freezing Randy Arozarena with the Mariners threatening in the first inning.
Logan Gilbert looked like he would be On One early, perfect through 3.2 before Cody Bellinger notched a single in the fourth. It was only after the delay that the Yankees seemed able to shake up Gilbert's focus.
