Billionaires called for Sliwa to withdraw to consolidate support for Cuomo, and more than 650 rabbis nationwide, including leaders from the largest New York City synagogues, signed an open letter condemning Mamdani for alleged anti‑Israel rhetoric. Moderators pressed Sliwa about remaining in the race and challenged Mamdani about his past statements and support for Israel. Mamdani affirmed his commitment to protecting Jewish New Yorkers and said he would discourage the slogan "globalize the intifada," while Cuomo accused him of failing to denounce the phrase and raised fears about antisemitism.
