"1956 - Don Larsen pitches the only perfect game in World Series history in a 2-0 win over the Brooklyn Dodgers. 1973 - Rusty Staub homers twice as the Mets defeat the Reds 9-2 to take a 2-1 lead in the NLCS. The game includes a scuffle between Pete Rose and Bud Harrelson after Rose slides in hard at second base. 1986 - Mike Scott tied a postseason record with 14 strikeouts as the Houston Astros defeated the New York Mets in Game 1 of the NLCS. The only run of the game came on a second inning home run by Glenn Davis off of Dwight Gooden."
