The supporting cast behind the Yankees' impressive power surge
Briefly

The Yankees lost Juan Soto and missed Giancarlo Stanton for two and a half months but retain substantial power depth. Aaron Judge leads the team with 41 home runs. Trent Grisham has 27 homers after Thursday's game. Cody Bellinger and Jazz Chisholm Jr. each have 26 homers entering Friday. All three went deep in the win over the White Sox, moving closer to the 30-homer plateau. If Grisham, Bellinger and Chisholm each reach 30 homers, and Judge remains at or above 30, the four would become the first quartet of Yankees to hit at least 30 home runs in a single season in franchise history.
CHICAGO - The Yankees lost Juan Soto, missed Giancarlo Stanton for two and a half months, and still might set a franchise record for their depth in power. It is no surprise that Aaron Judge is leading the team in home runs yet again, but his supporting cast has grown in numbers and muscle to put the Yankees on the verge of entering select company with a month left in the season.
Trent Grisham, Cody Bellinger and Jazz Chisholm Jr. all went deep in Thursday's win over the White Sox, inching them all closer to the 30-homer mark - Grisham with 27 and Bellinger and Chisholm 26 each entering Friday. If they are all able to reach 30 homers - joining Judge, who came into Friday with 41 - they would become the first quartet of Yankees to hit at least 30 home runs in a single season in franchise history.
